Hi!
I've modified some BP6 boards to use dual P3's. I did yoichiro's mod, except, that i'm noit able to get a LM338T regulator, so i use LM350T instead. In the Bios my VTT never reaches 1.50V it's always lower..between 1.44V and 1.50V, does anyone know what i can do to increase the VTT ???

capacitor mod for vtt
I have 5 bp6 boardsI'm still yet to change mine. At the moment it is a 100uF.
one has a damaged heat sensor in the cpu socket and that socket won't work at all
I guess that the other 4 boards are all std as I haven't mod'd them
the damaged one had a day when the OS (win98) wouldn't load and wouldn't install. so I managed to get a look and see the vtt was showing the wide varaition, 1.36 to 1.6 something
I got the capacitor changed but the shop only had a 1000 uf to change it for. it's not the spec of 1500 uf but it has done the job since with a more stable vtt and less voltage range.
I still haven't changed the other 4 boards, they work fine.
they are win2k systems and are showing 1.36 to 1.63 range but don't show any probs

I think I'm going to try and change the EC10 capacitors and do some more of Yoichiro's mods these holidays (I have the next six weeks off). I'm going to try and source some parts soon, and I'll borrow a proper soldering iron (not the $20 one I have at the moment, but one that has a temperature setting and a ground point).
First I think I'll start with the EC10 to 1500uF. Hopefully won't be too stressful, but I've never actually soldered anything like a motherboard before (just kits and 4-pin molex connectors - simple stuff like that).
Anybody got any tips?
