Here in the USA we are all very proud of and feel the pain for Michelle Kwan. It takes a great person to have pushed for a lifetime and then willingly step down with the GOLD so close but accepting it is just out of reach.
for me it way a special moment on the Opening of the Games when they brought a brand new 248 for the 2006. season...the sound of buzzing V8...reving and slowly comming to the front of the stage...
i really got the goose-bumps all over my body!!!

I have to agree with you. It was a very exciting moment!
Hey Derek! Anybody screaming for blood over there in Canada because of the Canadian Hockey fiasco? The story has cought some media over here a few days ago but now that Sweden won nobody gives a damn anymore, at least not over here.
The European dominance in Hockey was notable. Both North American teams were out before the semi's, which is highly unusual (and I seriously doubt it will happen again anytime soon).

Hehehe! You know, sometimes when a team constantly lives at the top, I think it is too easy to forget that you have to work to stay there. Getting a whippin' is sometimes good for the teams to get their feet on the ground so they can wake up and get back to business
[salt]It might take Canada awhile to get back to the top though. After all, Canada got their ass whipped by Switzerland of all countries [/salt]

Oh now you've done it... I'll be sobbing for the rest of the week now...
