As for screen resolution. 1024 x 768 is good for all around.

1280x1024 on my 2 home mahcines and 1600x1200 on my laptop. 16x12 on the laptop isn't to small tho. I guess it has somehtign to do with the fact that a 15" lcd screen is actually 15" viewable.

Hmmm. Old 17" screen that does 1152x864 without flicker, but if I try 1280x1024 it craps out....

800 x 600. T1 access at work. I use a common PC with software that requires 800x600. Kind of a pain sometimes since many messages I have to scroll the username off to see the text.

1024 x 768 at home. crappy phone service and no broadband available limits access to 40k or even as low as 22k baud rate.

1280x1024 on my 19 inch. I could go higher but it seems to work pretty well. Plus with getting older my eyes ain't what they once were so if the type gets too small I'm screwed :roll:

1600x1200 but the way I have my Opera set up (bookmarks on the left and page list on the right, the actual webpage viewing space is only 1084x844
