I wonder how they got hold of Linus's emails?
In 1992 an admin where I applied for a job said he had a free OS but I could't convince him to give me a copy. I didn't get the job and I had to stick with MS and DR dos.

Thats easy. Newsgroups postings are all found on the net since (almost) the beginning and they are public domain.
