Is the DVD-ROM on the standard IDE or on the HPT366? Try the other one;)

Hi!

If you can't install from the CD, you can copy the i386(not the subfolders) folder of your WinXP cd onto the hd and run winnt.exe from dos disk to install WinXP.

This is a good solution, as long as you finish the job & do the file system conversion from FAT32 to NTFS. It goes very quickly too.
