Modifications

Post by Derek »

A good idea came to mind, I’ll make it quick. Instead of me sifting through all of the modifications possible on this message board and then polling you about its usefulness, maybe you should just go through the list for yourself!

Okay, here’s the deal – Go to http://www.phpbb.com/mods/downloads/, browse the “2.x Modifications” section, pick out mods that you like, and then post them here!

Ciao,

Derek

What does anyone thing of the online/offline notifier within the topics? Might encourage people to chat if they find someone on at the same time as them.

Can't think that any of the others are worth bothering with, seems to run pretty nice as it is at the moment :P

I like the sound of that; encouraging people to interact on the message board is a big bonus.

No kidding, it's a huge step forward from the old system :)

DD: How is the attachments mod coming along that we discussed over at http://www.bp6.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=134&highlight= ?

Lots of people want that HPT366-less RU BIOS and I'd really like to be able to send it as an attachment thru the board!

Thanks mate.

I just want to state that the color of the message board and white letters in the dark background does not draw my attention.

for the eyes in this environment is much more difficult to find what you need to concentrate on what you read. Besides eyes really get tired in this combination of dark blue and white letters, even with 100Hz screen.

no offence Derek, but it did no go to the message board apperance. it just started to look like many overclockers' boards across the net. Indistinguishable.... you are just not motivated to go back to the board ig you get tired of it, and the tiredness of the eyes HELP that a lot!!! :(

the background you had before was much more relaxing and better. I am not against the changes, but you need to accept that the changes sometimes give bad results and then undo them.

On the other hand the main page changed maybe to better side, but still is the background color which makes it difficult to focus on what you need.

You see, it is just the physiology of vision which is involved, nothing more. If this knowledge you use with wit, only more people will be coming back. now it is just a strain for the eyes... :(

thanks for listening

I will start working on another bright colour scheme for the message board as soon as possible. Once completed registered users will be able to select from the two (current and new) schemes.

hey derek,

got another birllian idea for the board, mainly for the 56K lusers surfin like me

You know how some pages have alot of pics? well after i load them once, i don't care to much to have to wait for them to load again just to read someones reply,

so my suggestion is a link beside the thread that says "no pictures" that way us 56k'ers can see someone's reply sometime this year :)

Derek,

do you have a page for the top 10 posters? (people with the most posts in order?)

just curious to see who really posts more stuff (or who just spams :P)

SWEET!

not only am i like the third in who talks the most, but one of my topics is third for most replies

sweet i feel special

another thing

do we have benchmarks for al lthe different CPU's that can be used i nthe BP6 (you know the celerons and P3's with neo's and 1100E's ect)

i think that'd be something useful for those who wish to actually see which cpu's do what and they can compare preices enar them based o nthe performance of each set of cpu's or single cpu's

jsut a thought
