How many CPUs are in your system?

Well, if that's the case, then only people with this board would be able to answer 4.purrkur wrote:I guess you mean our BP6 systems?? I got 6 systems running at home
For the record, I've got 2 in the obvious board (it's my only system).
Jeff
2, when I have it assembled. Currently my BP6 is AWOL at Abit RMA.
phaedrus,
I read somewhere that there is a revision 7.1 soon to be released that supports 6 CPUs.
It requires 384meg ram sticks though. I think there were capacitor problems with the rev7.0.

There are *almost* no bad BP6s. There are mostly bad caps.
No BP6s remaining
Athlon 2800
Sempron 2000
ViaCPU laptop with Vista.(Works great after bumping ram to 2Gig)

Yeah. I'm saving my pesos for a rev 7.1. The only problem is those 384MB RAM modules are basically impossible to find.davd_bob wrote:phaedrus,

Once I've got it, though, I'm gonna mod it so it'll run Xeons!
Jeff
Just the one CPU at the moment, a PIII 933 in an ASUS CUSL2-C
The BP6 is currently in bits, but will be revived.
I've modded my head so that I have two brains.

It's a new nanotech polymer which interfaces with nerve cells. It forms a fractal "chipset," if you will, to allow both brains to use the spinal cord and to allow fast communication between the two. The only problem is you have to use chimpanzee brains to get two inside a normal skull.davd_bob wrote:WOWInactiveX wrote:I've modded my head so that I have two brains.
What kind of solder did you use?
Can you post pics?
Jeff
Microsoft still charge for a separate license for each brain, virtual or otherwise. Reduce the TCO by going with Debrain Linux.Dave Rave wrote:try integrating your various personalities so they co-hesively multi-task....
if each personality uses 10% of brain capacity, and you get the OS to talk properly, you could have 10 brains !

yeh, I think i could get that to work....
now, if I consider my 'system' as being my seti farm in my computer room.......
cpus, (takes of shoes to count more) ....
(( hmmm, where's my sig when i need it ))
19 chips i could put in your hand
22 virtual cpus with the HT
oh, and my friends house where i have my seti on all his computers too ??? can i count those ??

Code: Select all
. act vir
. 8 8 = 4 x bp6 dual
. 1 1 = 1 x bp6 single
. 2 3 = 2 x piv 2.4 (1 B, 1 C ht)
. 2 4 = 1 x dual xeon ( so two cpus, but 4 virtual)
. 3 3 = 3 x piii 866
. 1 1 = 1 x piv 1600
. 1 1 = 1 x piii 667 firewall box
. 1 1 = 1 x 500
. ===========
. 19 22
22 virtual cpus with the HT

I'd seen that board before....purrkur wrote:Well, if that's the case, then only people with this board would be able to answer 4.
did u notice the EC10 is the older 100uf type ?
you'd think they'd have upgraded that before adding a few more sockets, hmmm!?!
also, ....
drum roll
uber board

[x] 2 Celerons in the BP6. Still the board I use the most, for work and the web.
2 TBreds in my MSI K7D
1 Celeron 566 in a "Router"
1 Athlon64

Maybe there was interference with the sound system in his car which resulted in his eating the neons he had under the car.
