me , I don't care to watch ;-)
I figure the graphics chew cpu power that could be better spent crunching.
as long as it completes, and sends back, so my RAC goes up, fine.

as far as watching to see they are working, (not idle) I have BoincLogX which is like SetiPro
same idea, but different layout.
shows you the gaussians, and triplets, and how many in the cache and whether idle or active
============
did you try right-click on the wu, and show graphics ....
same as the Boinc screensaver (thinx)

Discovered that last night.
Using it for screensave on kids PC, theres enough power there to spare a few cycles for it...heh
Tryed it on mine, and the screensaver dont shut off, oh well, I got the Boincspy monitoring all 3, so it's all good now.....heh

On a side note, it's crazy how much slower the P4 is then my AMD's... :?

Not in my experience. My Northwood's are almost twice as fast as any non AMD 64 chip clock for clock.

somewhere on this page was the link that showed the comparisson...and the 4xOpteron 1,8GHz was the fastest computer for SETI crunching!
