The type of RAM you are using, may be what they call, high-density , RAM. When the BP6 was being developed and tested, that type of RAM was not available. So, they will not work in the BP6. You can use 256MB RAM sticks that are single or double-density SDRAM DIMMS. There is no BIOS revision that wil...

That setting is for the OS/2 operating system. If you add more RAM to your system, the BIOS will pick up the change automatically.

Agreed, InactiveX. I forgot my second BP6 has my old Diamond Viper 770 Ultra TNT2. It has worked fine since I got my first BP6 in August of 1999. Mine is 32MB and no TV-Out. :(

Yes, I do this on both of my BP6's. Use the Adaptec SCSI controllers for booting the operating systems; running programs. The hard drives on the HPT366 controllers do data storage and have the system pagefile on them.

Many BP6ers use the Promise controller (PCI card) instead of the HPT366 controller on the BP6. I have used the HPT366 controller for over three years. But, I use an Adaptec SCSI controller to boot my OSes.
