If you want to buy it, make sure you'll get the 1.05 revision. Because the others don't have the AGP/PCI look which asus promised. In a few weeks the PCH-DL will come out, which has 2 PCI 64BIT slots.

KDE 3.2 released....

Hi! Ok, it's out since a few days now. You can either install if you cvsup to the latest ports and then install usr/ports/x11/kde3. Then do a 'portupgrade -rR kde' and you'll be fine. Or get all the packages from here . Just delete the old kde packages in var/db/pkg and then do 'pkg_add kde-3.2.0.ta...

Could you please tell me what mods you used to make the PIII 1100E's work on your BP6? I added the modded S370's (cut trace), replaced the 1 cap along side of the 1st 370 socket, replaced the voltage regulator and added the cap to the +5 volt side of the regulator to reduce noise and added the sing...

Any1 tested this mod to get PIII's working ?

I searched through one of my old PCPro issues and found an article about moding old BX boards to get a PIII working. But in this article they only they only connected pin AH4 and AX4, removed the AM2 pin and connected the pins S35 and E27 with a 330ohm resistor each to ground. They are saying that t...

You'll never be able to run one or both of the PIII's at 133MHz FSB, because the BP& can't handle such a high FSB 124MHz is max in single PU configuration. SO i would try to sell both CPU's and get PIII's with a 100MHz FSB. The NEO370 adapter was never able to run Dual pIII on the BP&, you'll have t...

Before you send it to Motherboardrepair.com, you should try to exchange the capacitors by yourself. It is not very hard and it can safe you alot of money. Have you tried to start the BP6 with an ISA graphics card ?

When setting up a raid on the HPT370 you can't install other devices to the card except harddisks for 4disk raid0 or raid1. But you can still use the onboard ide controller.

Hi!

My board also only runs PIII's now, i think it is the sockel mod where you connect two pins, because the other mods are all voltage related.

The only difference in a P3 bios is that it displays the right name of your processor when you boot up...so it isn't really necessary.

You can try to change the HAL to ACPI in the device manager. But enable ACPI and APM in the bios first, maybe it'll work...but it can also kill your xp installation.
