Custom capacitor combination for a BP6
I'd like to get some opinions on if this is a good capacitor upgrade for a BP6. Quite a few are changed to higher value caps. I read through several capacitor upgrade articles here and at www.badcaps.net, and this is what I've come up with: Stock caps: 12 - 6.3 volt 1500 uF 12 - 6.3 volt 1000 uF 8 -...

Bad cap on an RMA 'd BP6!
I sent my BP6 to Abit in early January for an RMA job. I got it back and it's been running fine. I've got 2 533 Celerons in it overclocked to 600 Mhz (75 FSB), and both CPU's are loaded 100% with seperate instances of folding@home. The BP6 has been running pretty much non-stop for 2 months now. I wa...

Yes, when I RMA'd my BP6, they told me that someone else was actually doing the rebuilding work. Those boards may get rebuilt eventually, it's just a question of when it will actually happen. My replacement BP6 has been running 2 533's @ 600 for about 7-8 weeks now doing folding@home at 100% cpu loa...

Can I mix ECC and non ECC memory?
Can I use Error Correction memory on my BP6? Can I mix in a stick or 2 of Error Correction (ECC) with non ECC memory? Or does it all have to be non ECC memory?

Sorry about the triple post. I was hitting the Submit button and nothing seemed to be happening. My MB is a fresh Abit RMA unit. Why is this site always so slow and laggy? Is it run by a BP6 with a pair of 300 Celerons and 64 MB RAM or something? Even when I'm going to it on a cable modem and a 2.2 ...

Which temperature sensors are which in MBM 4.18?
I've got my BP6 running 2 533's @ 600, and it runs good. No problems at all so far in 3+ weeks of up time. I'm using MBM 4.18 to monitor temperatures, but I'm not sure which is which. When I installed MBM, it asked me to specify which 3 sensors to use to gets temperatures with. I selected Winbond 1,...

Anyone ever been to this site? You enter the year and denomination and serial number off of bills, and you can track them if someone else re-enters it. And you can see where many other bills have come and gone from also. They've got over 300 million in bills marked and floating around out there. I t...

Now that it's all set to go and running good, someone just called me today with an AMD Socket A motherboard for sale cheap, and it's new. So my whole BP6 setup is now in the Classified section here. Hurry, first person gets it! I have to go to a computer show next weekend and buy some parts for the ...

FS - Newly RMA'd Abit BP6, 533 CPUs, memory, other parts.
I recently got my new BP6 up and running good. And NOW someone tells me that they have a new motherboard (AMD Socket A) for sale, so I want to sell this BP6 and build the AMD system. Here's what I've got: NEWLY REBUILT BP6 motherboard, just got it from Abit RMA department about 5 days ago. I have th...

It looks like everyone is wrong who said that MBM 4.18 would show the correct voltage for CPU1. It still shows right around 1.50 volts, while CPU0 is at 2 volts. But at least MBM 4.18 gave me back my temperature readings and fan rpms. Yes, I figured out how to install it. I downloaded the free versi...

Uhh..... I think I did. Right click on it and hit Open, right? Then what? Or something else? It asks for a program to use to open it and then I can't get anywhere with opening it. And why does MBM 5.3.7 not show temperatures and fan speeds now? I got it to show 1 temp and 1 fan speed, but that's all.

MBM 4.18 / 5.3.7 / CPU-Z installation problems.
Now that I have SMP working on my BP6, MBM 5.3.7 won't install. It keeps saying there's an error in some file, an IO error or something. It installed fine when I was running in single processor mode. The links I saw for MBM 4.18 don't work. I can download the file, but it won't install. It keeps ask...

That worked. Once in Device Manager I had to update the driver. It has drivers for single and multi processor boards. So I just changed it and it works fine in SMP now. Now I need a copy of MBM 4.18. The links provided don't get me a good copy. When I go to install it, it asks what program I want to...
