Very Cool! I sent an email to the author letting him know about BP6.com.

Latest Technical SETInfo

(From the SETI Technical News page) March 2, 2006 - 21:15 UTC So it turns out the master database storage arrays had three drive failures during the long and thorough RAID resync process. We had two hot spares and a spare drive on the shelf. This, along with the fact that the array was RAID 10, mean...

...The truth is, a couple of months ago I realized my BP6 had basically become a large paperweight. And since I've had a copy of Server 2003 sitting around unopened for a couple of years, I decided to put both to good use. As such, I threw in a second NIC and set up the machine as a Remote Access S...

Yes, the BP6 should rock as a WEB server. My Fedora Core 2 WEB server is running Apache 2.0.51, MySQL and vsftp. The server is a dual 200 Mhz PentiumPro with 256 MB of RAM. A 4 GB SCSI HD controlled by an Adaptec 2940U2 and a 10 GB ATA66 HD controlled by a Promise Ultra66. It serves up my WEB site (...

In a couple Intel BX440 Designs docs, I found cache sizes of 128-KB and 256-KB (Celeron and Pentium-III, respectively). In another Intel BX440 Design doc, to discussed the cache size of 512-KB for a Pentium-II. So, maybe purrkur is right about a maximum size of 512-KB for the BX440.

I like the "pins up" statement about Intel's duals. "After reading the round-by-round account of our dual-core desktop CPU prizefight, it should come as no shock that AMD's Athlon 64 X2 chips are the runaway victors here, laying out the Intel Pentium D and Pentium Extreme Edition 840 chips pin...
