I think the BX can handle 133 if running uni-processor. Dual is just too much overhead for the BX to handle when overclocking higher than 110Mhz. I wonder if the BX was designed with Dual in-mind.

Thanks!
Don't know if you have seen any of the new threads about RMA's to ABit, but it looks like they are OUT of BP6's! I'm waiting for feedback about mine. I sent it in around 2-18-05.

AMD and Intel are using 64-bit extensions. So correct me if I'm wrong but neither processor is true 64-bit hardware. Sure it is true 64-bit hardware. AMD has extended the 32 bit ISA (Instruction Set Architecture) , just like Intel did in its time with the 386. AMD and Intel have extended their exis...

Around 18:00 UTC we had another unexpected lab-wide power outage. We are surveying the damage and slowly bringing up various systems one by one.

I think capacitor and PSU problems go hand-in-hand. Bad capacitors cause PSU's to go bad.

At one point in time, we talked about "stacking" the PL -370/SMP on top of the NEO, to see if this would do SMP with newer processors. No one tried this configuration.

Running SETI on Novell

At work, we use Novell and Windows servers. I had to setup a new Netware 6.5 server yesterday and today I figured out how to run SETI on it! I downloaded the SETI NLM from SETI@HOME.

Man, Novell is a different animal. :?

February 24, 2005 UPDATE: Yesterday afternoon a breaker blew and power for the entire lab went down.
