Yeah, that is a good idea, though i have been thinking about salvaging the clips from older heatsinks and to try and hook one onto other and bending their ends... well, I still need to lok at them closer.
Thanks.

Assuming that BCN has success with the double adapter and a Tualatin core P-III, the next question I have is whether these .13 micron chips are less power-hungry that all the older ones? BTW, I don't recall what the solution to the lower limit on the BP6's voltage to the CPU issue. If the Upgradewa...

it is NOT stick problem, it is BX chipset problem, guys! it is only 128MB max per memory bank and there are two banks per memory slot and I am sure you 256megs are singlesided and have 8 chips on ONE side. Buy some crucial doublesided PC133 :) they have very good system selector, and you will be fin...

No FCPGA CPUs faster than 1100Mhz have been reported. As I said, if a spec says FCPGA/1.3GHz (1.266 actual) it's most likely an FCPGA2 Tualatin core CPU - NOT-COMPATIBLE with BP6 using any known adapaters. The fact that any 100MHz FSB Tualatin CPUs exist surprises me. Maybe a Neo370 combined with a...

Re: deal
Here's a link to the chips that I think he was referring to. Are we fairly confident these would work or no? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?sku=cp2-ci1300tc&SRCCODE=WEM381Z price....59.99 :) just found this forum--what was the verdict on this processor? usable ...

http://www.digit-life.com/articles/tualatinsmp/ It seems that only the first runs of the Tualatin core were UP-only. Specifically, the PIII 1133, 1200 chips were UP, and the Celeron 1200, 1300 as well. The 1133, 1266, 1400 server-version chips (1133 is an overlap, but the others are unique to the "...

i dont know if it's been mentioned yet or not but does the neo adapters and the BP^ support SMP with the pIII's ? Oh yes it supports it! :D You just need to cut one trace on Neo and solder one wire between two pind on mobo on each socket. I just cannot find the diagram. please, could someone send t...

Wow, I'm not the only one to see this! If we could zero in on which of a BP6's dual CPUs is the cause of each crash, probably most CPU initiated BP6 system crashes are always being triggered by only one of the two CPUs. This is another good reason to go for the SINGLE P-III/1100E processor upgrade ...

Re: See "RAM recognition problem" thread
Hi, I did read the other posts first but wondered if anyone had tried this piece of kingston memory. Anyway I have now swapped my old dimm for the Kingston one and can confirm that Kingston PC133 32*64 CL3 (KVR133X64C3/256) ram does work in the BP6 :))
hey, guys, don't get confused ...
Just afew words. The Tualitan (Socket 370 w/512k cache) will not work on the BP6...AT ALL!!! Same goes for all .13 micron, tualitan core celerons(and they are not SMP anyway)
Just one question to you... Did you try 512kb PIII-S on BP6? Has anyone here tried them on it?... I d...

There is something fishey with this link. The header says it is a Tualatin (.13 micron) series CPU & the 1.3Ghz is consistent with the actual 1.26GHz FCPGA2 chip of that type. But the text says .18 micron process, & then calls this Intel's "latetest" manufacturing process - NOT!! I think some lazy ...

the point is if you use the memory module with ships with higher density than 32Mx64 or more than 128MB per bank - the memory will not be recognized correctly :) that's also from my experience when I followed the manual as from the above post. It is not written anywhere that is supports only 128Mb p...
