MAC filters only attempts to control access to your network however without encryption someone can still listen in to network traffic. Anything is better than nothing. Wireless security will always lag behind wired security. I use 128bit WEP, I found it was easier to put a 40 Hex character string in...

Quite A few in the SV25's case. Lot of people shelled out $65 for a new supply which seem to fix the problem for a few months.

A new PS may appear to fix the problem but the caps are an issue and may lead to a early death on your new PS. If you still want those caps replaced I can do it for you. I just had to do the ones around the first CPU. I'm still at the same place ;) drop me a line if you want to do that. Right now I'...

Part true part not. The Anandtech article shows there is more to the Pentium M's gain than just seti. Cache does help because yes my Xeon 450 w/1M out pace my PIII 600s w/512k, 750s w/256k and 850s w/256k. My Alpha EV6 500 w/4M can out my pace PIII 933 w/256k and comes within a few minutes of my Cel...

The main reason I need USB in Linux is for my KVM and printers. Having Mixed luck with the Thunder, got to dig up a better CDROM the one I was testing with last night couldn't read my Linux CDs very well.

Thx Hal

Oh well probably best for me, really didn't need anymore systems around the house. ;)

Did you use Linux on that board? Wondering how good Linux does with the SW USB controller since I picked up a Thunder 2500 eariler.

why does it say "Last updated on Thu Oct 2 09:49:03 2003 CST (367 hr 40 min 21 sec ago; stale - Can't find first rank)" ?

I look at them weekly, I use my SetiQueue server for Day to Day stats.

Ouch...I get mad when my Electric bills get near $150 and that's running 11 machines (most running Seti) and the AC on 100F+ days in 40% humidity in a house without hardly an insulation... So far I've been defending my 7th place spot and buying time before someone over takes me...have to come up wit...

I buy On-line mostly as well...But I think is has more to do with living in BFE more than cost :) I'm affradi to shut mine off, and see how much it's really costing to run all my systems. Luckily where I live we have some of the lowest Electric cost in the US :) one of the few monoplies that works i...

I leach BW from work :)

I have a DSL that I serve from and a few Domains but the heaviest bulk BW I use comes from work, game servers, redirection and hosting large files.

@home 768k/256k @work 1M/3M Right now I have DSL at home about $50USD (ISP+DSL line) No limit use one Static IP. The BW is pretty well taxed with Mail server, webserver, game server(s) and general internet traffic. Working with a local ISP about maybe a 1M/1M wireless setup, or getting RR to subsidi...
