Well, surfing the net I came across a page that talked about lowering the DMA Transfer Rate in the SCSI Bios to the next lowest setting. The 3Com card works fine, as I can get on the the net and surf around. I'm actually doing it right now. (Just takes longer) Forgot to mention. During these lockups, system processes are still running, mostly delegated to system idle processes. AND the mouse works during this time. Only I may click o...

I'm running a BP6 with the latest RU bios. ATI Rage II PCI 8 mb vid card 256mb ram 3Com 10/100 nic 24X SCSI cd-rom (2) Fujitsu 10K hdd's attached to an Adaptec 2940uw card.
