Did that machine work with another operating system before? Did that use SMP?

BIOS: ACPI or not? MPS version set to 1.1 or 1.4?
Windows: Device Manager/Computer: ACPI/Standard MPS/Standard HAL installed?

Do you use Windows 2003 server (which I don´t know) like you said in your first post or 2000?

I´m just guessing btw, it could of course also be an overheating issue or a defective PSU or memory stick.

It could also be corrupt software somewhere on the computer, most likely a driver.

I think you had better check the capacitors again ;)

Try pointing a fan at the case (with the sides off) and see if the extra cooling helps the computer.
