Topic Tracking

Post by Derek »

Topic Tracking is now fully functional. Topics and posts will remain with an "Unread" flag until you read the post unlike previously when all topics would be marked as read when you logged out (making is hard to find new topics).

Is it possible to create the option to "Mark all posts as read"?

Lol!!! Hey! That was a great idea! But what if you accidentally closed it?

Yup, good thing it's fixed, eh? It's working beautifully on my end!

dude derek that's the whole beauty of opera, you can set opera to open all pages and resume where you left off if you close it, your computer crashes, or it looses power :)

opera is god of the browsers.. tho still buggy at times

That would be really useful. Could we have it on all the messageboard pages :?:

Forgive my ignorance, but I don't really see how having that on all the pages. I'll work on it if you would like, but how would it help? (Other than saving you guys a few clicks back to the index!!) :P :P :P

OK let me explain, I visit BP6.com and the first thing I look at is the “View unread posts”. I click that and it shows me all the unread posts (currently 19). Now some of them are of interest to me and others are not, so I might not view all of them. When I go back to the main page it’s now showing 15. I now have to go to the message board and click “mark all post as read” to bring the counter back to zero. This is ok but a “mark all post as read” button on the “View unread posts” page or the main page would simplify this. Feel free to kick me if I’ve missed something. :? :D

Would it help to have the "Mark all posts read" in your control panel up top?

Read History has been reset as of now, and I have optimized the history code.

If you notice any bugs or errors when using the message board please let me know.

Hmmm... The pruning script I have setup is not working correctly and I wiped the read history table clean.

Sorry about that guys. I'll try to get it working properly as soon as possible.
