Still Going Strong....

Postby vinman » Sun Nov 14, 2010 6:18 pm

I'm still using my Bp6 dedicated 24/7 to downloading stuff on the net.
I rescued this board from the garbage bin and replaced the caps on it maaaaaaany years ago , and it still serves me well.
Dual Celerons 500's and 750Mb of ECC ram and it has not flinched once in all these years. It just chugs along and has oulasted a few other faster Mobo's.
Since I only use it for downloading and it's on 24/7 it's serving it's purpose well.

Same! As long as it keeps on ticking, it'll be on duty!

Hey guys, long time no see.
I do pop in now and then to see if you're all still here.

My BP6 has been stored in the attic for a few years now.

Maybe I should get it out and power her up.

Can't believe I remembered my login. I thought I would see if the site was still up. Haven't been here in a years and behold, there are a few recent posts on the forum! Aw well. I'm getting rid of my BP6 on Craigslist finally. 366's @ 550MHz @ 1.95v. I bet I will end up having to give it to Goodwill. It's a shame.

EDIT: Hah! It's still in my sig.

nice.. I no longer have my original bp6 server. but i have the spare i picked up before i lost the original one. and i still have it. it has a cap need. and incidentally, PSU power supplies and old dead mobo's from POS preman pc's typically contain the needed caps for repair. Mine will live again one day, if only to serve as an old IDE storage server until all my IDE drives die :)

i now own a quad core because of the best dual cpu mobo of it's time, the BP6!
