Post by Slagathor »

I got a new HDD. A Maxtor 60gig for my new AMD XP system.
After doing a fresh format and install, apon reboot in windows it shows up as drive F:........
I had 2 other small HDD's in there, there always in there.
There always D: and E:...............
I have had the old setup, an 8.4 WD and the 2 little ones in there, for ever
and never had this happin............
Any ideas what might have went wrong???????

I had a similar problem to this once. It turned out to be a rogue boot sector on the spare drive. Don't know how it got there as the drive was only used for storage and not system files.
