How many watts is your power supply rated at? You should not have anything less than a name brand 300watts power supply.

Just be gentle and everything will go well. If you’re feeling ‘charged’ just make sure one part of your body is always touching the computer case (a metal part of the chassis) while you’re installing the card; that way you won’t shock any components.

Would type more but need to run, have fun!

humv wrote:Thanks Derek. All went well with the install. The GeForce 4 4200 is
really an awesome card. You have to appreciate that I upgraded from
a TNT2 card. I have experienced no problems what so ever. I can finally
play UT2K3 with better than 48 fps with almost everything cranked. A low
of 33 fps is still very pleasing in high intensive battles. Looking forward to
tweaking this puppy later on. Haven't install the new Detonator 41.09 yet,
may make a difference
Awesome, glad to hear it worked bro!

atm my card is running at 315/525, from (i think) stock 250/450
100% stable as well, which is always better.
Yea, you're right about that! It can easily be overclocked to 4600 specs.

If you go a bit too far, the screen will look strange doing heavy graphics stuff. Tearing between polygons may occur, and weird stuff with textures.

If you go a lot too far, your vid card will suffer permanent damage.

So, go easy and bump up the clock/mem speeds in small increments, then when it gets unstable, back off.
