Any new card will increase your performance because of the T&L engines onboard, but then your processor still won't be able to keep the card fed. GF4MX's have a pretty bad rep when it comes to performance; most people shoot for Ti4200s if they want to go Nvidia's way. I personally prefer radeons, and moving to a R32DDR (predecessor to the 7200/7500) did boost speed a couple years back when I had dual celeron 466s. Performance more than doubled by moving to P3s at that point onward.

Newer cards have great performance... but only with new proc !
I have a voodoo3 3000 and I wonder if a gf2mx 400, a radeon 7500 or a gf4mx 440 can increase perf.
I have a Matrox G400 in my BP6, about the speed of your Voodoo. I´ve had a GF2MX in it before. The GF2MX will allow you to play Games you can play now @800x600 (or 640x480) at 1024x768. With 16bit color depth... the GF2MX(400) is usually too slow for 32bit (slow memory).

A faster video card will however not allow you to play games like UT2003, at least not in Botmatch (CPU load!). I doubt the Celerons are even fast enough to play online as a client. Aside from that... when I had the GF2MX in the BP6, you could notice the CPU bottleneck in almost every game. The card feels much better now in a Duron 900 setup and is SO MUCH faster in there.

So any card even faster the a GF2MX would give you the same experience: Higher resolution, maybe 32bit color depth, FSAA, anisotropic filtering... but you will be stuck with UT/NFS5/RTCW MP etc., no way to play UT2003/NFS6/RTCW SP, because of the CPU bottleneck, if you get the idea...

I had exchanged my G400 for a Kyro II board for some days, just to try bacause Kyros are SO cheap now, and just put the Matrox in again. With the Kyro, though it´s substantially faster, I couldn´t play any game that I couldn´t play with the G400. In UT2003 and NFS6, the CPU bottleneck was very obvious. Same (very low) framerates in 640x480 and 1024x768. So I took it out again and the G400 is back.
