Adaptec 2940UW scsi card

Post by Blueneko »

I modified a promise ata66 controller to a FastTrak66 controller with the help of you guys pointing me into the right direction.

Now, I have a question, is it possible to modify a scsi card to perform raid functions (even if it were just raid 0 or 1)

Probably not, the only way to know for sure is to look up the SCSI board model on the internet and look for related modifications.

Software RAID can be setup on any disk subsystem. Using it as a boot device is most likely the best way to go (as you suggested).
