Booting off a controller card

Post by ReD-BaRoN2 »

I have a 3ware RAID controller card and a Promise ATA133 controller card in my system (bp6 based obviously ;)). I want the single drive on the promise controller to be the boot HD. Can I setup the BP6 to do this?

Thanks!

This works fine. Need to set the boot mode to have EXT first, and EXT = SCSI. So SCSI doesn't really mean SCSI. If you have multiple controller cards, I assume the frist one detected on boot up wins.

That's good to know ReD-BaRoN2. :)

I have only ever used one controller card in my BP6, so thanks for clearing that up.
