I see a Fellow Tennesseean here. I have too many machines to list but the important ones are the web server. A BP6 with the traditional dual 366@500 and a Compaq raid card with 3-9 gig SCSI drives and 768MB ram. The video is an old compaq with 4 meg of ram but it runs headless in my dmz so it doesn't matter. It has Mandrake on it right now but will have Slackware 9.1 on it in the near future. The other server is also a BP6 that also runs headless and is running MDK 91 and is a samba server It also has a compaq raid card and 6-18gig Cheetahs. Runs good. My box is a Tyan 230t with dual GIg P3's and 1.5 gig of ram. it has a 36 gig Cheetha hung off an Adaptec 39160 card. It is Running Slackware 9.1. I run Winows all day at work and I like my Linux boxes at home. We are a M$ partner so there isn't much room for linux. I have managed to get a Postfix and Apache server in there though....... Come to thnk of it they're the ones that never CRASH!!!!

hey, im in chattanooga :)

anywho

talking about crashing made me remember something out of a bathroom reader

"He relocated to Seattle and got a job with a computer time-share company. One of his ersponsibilities was hiring local high school kids to come into the office and see if they could get the comptuers to crash. Lots of kids tried, but, according to Russell, only one kid had enough computer savvy to make the computers crash everytime, no matter how hard Russell and his colleagues tried to thwart him. The kid's name was Bill Gates. He never graduated from college, either."

doesn't that just sound ironic????
