After 2,5 years with my BP6 I bought a Promise controller. Something went wrong and the BP6 is now dead, no screen, no beep, no nothing.
Got another BP6 but this has the following probs, any suggestions?
I tried DVD and burner on IDE 1 and 2 on the board, and my new WD80SE on IDE 1 on the controller and the old Maxtor 27 GB on IDE 2 also on the controller.
It would do the installation of win2k on the WD80SE and after installation it would restart but couldn't boot on the harddrive. I tried to remove all cards but the vga (TNT2) and the burner and Maxtor but still FUBAR.
The highpoint screen still pop up during startup, is that a problem?
I use RU bios. The board is V1.0 and has not been modded.
Any help would be super.
