I don't see why it wouldn't work. If you have the cash to buy it, go for it.

I have yet to see a 100% Full Fledge SATA Drive, but ive read they make adapters for ide --> sata?

IIRC Western Digital have released a couple of SATA drives, but theyre somewhat expensive, and yeah Abit make adaptors to plug IDE drives in to a SATA controller (to bundle with their mobos with integrated SATA controlers no doubt)

Wrong drive geometry?

hello,

i had a similar problem with a promise controler and 120 GB ATA drives

the ru bios without HTP366 code solves the boot problem

try this bios revision BP6 RU Without HPT
