Actually, Whistler was the code name for XP. One of the pre-beta builds was 2250. After Win2KPro (2195) and before XP (2600). :)

also - you can use a longhorn cd to upgrage a win xp pro instalation to longhorn, just like you could update win98 -> xp with an xp cd.
(or at least, so ive heard)
yeah that just tells me that Longhorn is the next OS after XP

i don't know much about the ISO, honestly i don't care, i didn't like XP, i don't like this "phoning home" bullshit and i refuse to use software you have to "activate" before you use it..

my computer WILL NOT communicate with any other computer unless i tell it to..

so as far as im concerned MS can take their spyware infested crap and shove it...

im fine with 2K

and i knew whistler was a NT breed of OS.. i cound't rmember exactly what it was supposed ot be..

You know, that's what I thought but I was then told otherwise. Ah well.

I don't know if this works with the newer build of Longhorn, but the M3 build, it was the first version that was leaked you could use a Win2k3Server RC Key to activate it.
