Was Win2K running OK prior to this install? or, some other OS?
Need more info on your setup.
What speed are the dual 466s running? Std or OC?

Have you tried to up the CPU voltage settings? Try 2.0 - 2.1 if good HSF cooling is in place.

What is the storage scheme for the boot hdsik?? If it's running on the integrated HPT366, you must retire it ASAP - get a Promise ATA100/133.

To get realy serious at troubleshooting, you will have to take turns removing one CPU & see if the system is stable running only one.
Often one socket proves to be weaker & more instability prone.

BTW, did you also install the matching Win2K HPT366 driver to the BOIS update? What version was the HPT driver?

I think you need the mod for your power supply on your mobo if it locks in the moment it needs to supply more voltage. I need to make one also.. :)

you need to change the capacitors on mobo to low ESR ones, then some of them with higher capacity, then change the voltage regulators for the Vcore, Vmem and Vio - then it should not lock up even if you put 2.3V+ :)

I'm still wondering why & how just a BIOS update to the BP6 caused this?
Have you tried going back to the previous BIOS yet?
I'm still thinking the Win2K build is wacked out and still needs the driver for the HPT366 -- EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT RUNNING ANY DEVICES ON IT.

If it goes for 1-2minutes, you should be able to pres F6 key during the W2K boot to be prompted for a 3rd-party driver disk. Try getting W2K to pick up the matching HPT driver from a floppy before doing of the more complicated things.
