Look at the capacitors on either side of the CPU sockets. Are the tops buldging up? If so, not good. Can you run the system setup & check the Voltage readings for unstable/out-of-spec readings? Many BP6 boards have had your board's symptoms because of the failing components that regulate/deliver power to the CPUs. Replacing these components has cured many of these. Soldering skills are required.
