Crowded Case, no IRQ probs.

Post by Wolfram »

Windows 2000 SP2, ACPI, BP6, 2xCeleron366@523, 2x256MB RAM, Matrox G400, 2x3com NICs (3C905+3C905B), AVM FritzPCI ISDN Card, Lifetec 9415 TV-Card, Soundblaster AWE64, Mustek SP 12000 ISA SCSI Card for Scanner, USB-Webcam, both Onboard IDE, HPT366, both COM-Ports and LPT enabled.

No IRQ Probs.

I once had an Asus A7V133C (VIA KT133A), AMD TBird 1333, Geforce3, SBLive. That gave me headaches even with USB/COM/LPT/2nd IDE disabled...

Thanx, Wolfram! :D

Nice to see the BP6 handling all those devices. Which BIOS revision are you using?

1 20 gig WD ATA66 7200 rpm drive and 1 60 gig WD ATA100 7200 drive
SBLive Platinum & Cambridge 2500 surround sound system
Matrox G400 MAX dual head 32 meg video card
SCSII card for my X6EL Microtek scanner
4 port Firewire card
WinTV GO! capture card
10/100 NIC
Pioneer 104S DVD drive
Yamaha 4416S 'burner
Kenwood TrueX 52X CD-ROM
Sony DVD 'burner
I am dual-booting WIN98SE/NT4.0 SP6

BP6 is a version 1 board

was up and running 24/7 for the last 2 1/2 years without a crash! I just reformatted whole system for primary use as a VHS, DV to CD,DVD copy and editing machine(yeah I know, I could build a faster machine but I'v kinda gotten attached to the "Old Girl")

I´m using the "RU" Bios (unmodified). Board revision is the one that needed a larger capacitor. With that fixed, everything´s fine ;)
BP6, RU BIOS, XP SP3, ACPI, 2x366@523(1,95V), Pentalpha HS + 1x 12cm fan @5V, 768MB, Powercolor Geforce 3, RTL8139D NIC, Terratec EWS64L, Samsung M40 80GB (2,5''), LiteOn CDRW
