I hope this is in the right spot.....UT2003 and a BP6...

Post by Slagathor »

Anybody with a BP6 and windows XPee Pro tryed playing Unreal Tournament 2003???????????

I got it, installed it with no problems, but when I try to start it it, it loads for a while then just stops and closes itself.

The very first time I installed it, it started a little the I got an UT2003 experianced a failure and has to close, or something like that.
Then ever since it wont try to finiish loading, I have installed it several times to no avail...........

Any suggestions????????????????????

Well, I've had the new Dungeon Siege game on one BP6 give this problem - it loads & when the 1st splash screen comes it minimizes to the task bar. You can call it up again, but while the video starts to re-sync, it minimizes again. Only by being very quick with hitting the space bar to move past the splash screens to the actual game can the program finally get going. With several splash screen to get thru, this gets tedious!

It runs stable (but awfully slow ;)) on my BP6 with Win2K SP3. It runs great on my gaming system (TBird C 1333, Geforce3, 768 MB SDR-SDRAM) BUT frequently crashed until I upped the core voltage from 1,75 to 1,85V. I think since UT2003 has very high hardware requirements especially in single player (CPU load for the bots!) it´s much more likely to crash overclocked and not entirely stable systems (my TBird is not overclocked, but the ECS K7S5A is said to deliver a slightly lower VCore voltage than it should).
