WinAmp 3

Post by Derek »

One thing I don't like about the new WinAmp is that it doesn't have the disk writer plugin!

I'm a big fan of MusicMatch - it does it all & now rips to MP3PRO format!
It has its quirks - like how to stay sync'ed up properly with a LAN based music library without getting double, triple, ... entries of the same song. Overall I've yet to see a more complete package - worth every penny.

I didn't like Winamp 3. It was slow to start and didn't allow you to cut and paste to the MP3 attributes.

i dont like musicmatch too much. i prefer using eac and lame to encode my mp3s. i also tend to use ogg vorbis now too though still most of my collection is mp3s. takes a bit longer but sounds oh so nicer

I haven't encoded anything in the OGG format... It just doesn't feel right :)

As for EAC and LAME; those are the only two programs I use! Oh, and RazorLame for Lame.
