problem with mbm 5?

Post by jaybird »

I have been using mbm 5 and for some reason it is showing only 1.6 volts on cpu 2? In the BIOS it shows 2.1 (adjusted on both cpu's) also, when ever I over clock above 100 FSB the fan speeds are WAY off.

I don't care about the fan speeds but I am concerned about the cpu voltage.

I'm assuming mbm 5 to be incorrect because of the level of over-clocking I am able to achive.

Thoughts or ideas anyone?

check your Voltages setting
Voltage Configuration will be set at W83782D Standard

so it will be showing the 1.50v VTT rail - the one affected by the 100uF capacitor.
if you set it to W83782D Abit BP6 it will show the two CPU voltage settings.

this is nice, but it's more important, with bad caps, to know the VTT rail, so leave it.
bp6's 3 x dual @ 533
. . . . 1 x dual @ 466
. . . . 1 sngl @ 400
[( 2 x dual xeon 2.4ghz )]
[( 2 x dual xeon 2.66ghz )]
[( 1 x 2.4C ghz )]
[( 1 x 2.4B ghz )]
[( 1 x dual AMD 1800MP )]
[( 1 x P4 1600 )]
[( 1 x 500 ppga )]
3 x piii 866
