Missing BIOS

Post by loophole »

I was running a version of RU128 that also had the Symbios Logic SCSI BIOS in there too, so that upon bootup I would first get the HPT 1.28 BIOS showing up and then the SCSI BIOS if "EXT means" was set to ATA/66 in the BIOS, but after I added an ATA/100 controller (with the Si 0649 chipset), the BIOS on the ATA/100 controller would show up where ever the SCSI BIOS was.

I was just wondering whether there was a limit to how many BIOSs would be given bootup rights with the Award BIOS that we have on the BP6 and if there was a way to fix this or any troubles you've had like this. Anybody got any ideas?

I know the SCSI microcode is still in the BP6 BIOS so that didn't somehow manage to dissapear... (Stranger things have happened)

I have the SCSI card in PCI slot 4 (sharing with network card in PCI slot 5) and the ATA/100 controller is in PCI 3 (sharing with HPT 366).
Still kicking along with the Abit BP6 :-)
