pc 100 or pc 133?

Either. They're the same thing, except PC133 is guaranteed to work at 133MHz.

I recently answered the same question via email, here's how I responded:
The BP6 is compatible with both 100MHz and 133MHz low density ram. If you install 133MHz, but your bus is only at 100MHz, the ram will underclock to 100MHz. So simple, eh? :)

"undurrered"!? Ahhhh! :lol: XMS RAM should work perfectly fine as long as the sticks are low density, I would try.

On 256 megabyte RAM sticks there will be chips on both sides of the stick.

There is a very helpful site that I have used to find out the exact configuration of a some RAM modules:

Though the purpose of that site seems to be to find out if a given module is MAC compatible, you can also use it to check BX board compatibility.

ok

so no wonder i got a stick of 256MB that is single sided for $20 and it only registers as 128MB on any system i've put it in (all are older than the BP6)

the ram in the picture is DDR, cannot be used on the BP6 sorry
Abit BP6 with Celeron 466 x2, 256 MB CAS 2 , G400 and Mandrake 9.1 runs great very stable !
