PPGA and FCPGA

Hi

I'm new on this forum.

I have got problem witch Celeron procesors on mine Asus mew-aml mainboad, i have celeron 433MHz(ppga) and i changet it to celeron 600MHz(ffcpga) and it dosent work now :(

What i'm doing wrong?

Welcome aboard.

What you discribe is a common enough mistake. As you already figured out, the Celly 433 is the celeron-1 class and the FC-PGA 600 is the celeron-2 class. That means different pins on the chip do different things.

Older mother boards designed for the cel-1 can't handle the FC-PGA's pins. You can get an adaptor(PowerLeap Neo S370) however you might be able to get a newer board for the same price that will take better advantage of the FC-PGA's features.

also, it would be easy to get a newer cpu that would work better
