Sorry for the noob qns... did a bit of research and sounds like my question is yes.

However, it seems like the BP6 cannot natively support any processors other than the Celerons. I am thinking of upgrading my existing 2xCeleron 300A to something faster by getting the processors from the after-market. What should I get?

celeron 366ppga and run on 100FSB.
There are *almost* no bad BP6s. There are mostly bad caps.

No BP6s remaining
Athlon 2800
Sempron 2000
ViaCPU laptop with Vista.(Works great after bumping ram to 2Gig)
P-III 850@100
