Post by siggidragon »

hello, im a new user of bp6.com

i have got an "old" pc with bp6 board and 2 500/66celeron cpu´s. the board works fine, but i want to make it faster.

my question: can i use:

CPU Intel Pentium III 933mhz FSB 133 S370FCPGA 1.7V

or what other cpu´s can i use on this board?

thanks vor you help :)

Now stock the board canhandle up to 533Mhz celeron ppga if u want a dual processor setup.
Now if you would like a single processor... there are many options available. I think the max someone has put on it is a pentium III 1.4 Ghz (single)
However, if you decide to go with an fcpga you will need a converter (i believe neo power leap).
In order to get more complicated setups you will need to mod... the quikest fix is a dual 500-533.
2.4 Celeron D oc'ed to 3.01 Ghz
Abit IC7 Max II Advance
1GB Ram
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro oc'ed to 425/337

Pentium II 266 oc'ed to 320
320 Ram
(HP)Nvidia Geforce 2 MX400 DDR
Micron AL440LX

LONG LICE THE CELERON
OMEGA RULZ, OC ADDICT!!!

besides, if you go PIII, not taking into account caps change, wire mod for sockets etc... the fastest stable in the majority of cases will be 110FSB with GOOD BX cooling (peltier)... so from 933 tou would get 700MHz dual and maybe 770Mhz :)
Dual C366@550MHz 1.90V :) (History)
yet single PIII-S 512Kb L2 cache at 1400MHz@700MHz
BP6 (not modded yet)
256MB PC133 C2
GF4Ti4200-8x
Maxtor 2x60Gb - all on promise ATA133
Lite-On LTR 40125S@48125W!!!
Plus P4 system
