You will not be able to overclock a 500 Mhz Celeron as far as a 366 Celeron. Maybe 72 to 78 Mhx FSB. 500 and 533 have less overclocking "overhead".

What´s the lowest FSB setting above 66 Mhz? 75? That would mean 7,5 x 75 = 562,5 Mhz. It is not unlikely that you can´t overclock your 500´s that far. Usually 600 Mhz is the absolute limit, but you might have had bad luck.

Wait... the slowest FSB setting above 66 is 72, right? So if you overclock it, you run the cpus at 7,5x72=540 Mhz minimum. That might be too much, at least in SMP mode. I´ve had three 366´s combos and none of them was perfectly stable at 550 Mhz. My current cpus would do 550 and 600 Mhz in single mode, but in SMP mode they are only stable at 523. Your cores might just not go to 540 Mhz.

Since being repaired has the BP6 booted all the way into the OS.
If not there may be damage you can't detect.

By the way,
do you still have the 366s. I want to trade from 500s down to 333s or 366s so the FSB can be pushed to 100mhz. It doesn't make sence to stay at 66 or 72FSB when 100 or faster is available.
