366 Spec. Information Needed.

Post by boogibson »

I have two 366's running on my BP6. Currently they are set at 92mhz FSB at 5.5 multiplier with 2.1 core voltage. System has been running smooth for about 24 hrs. The temps. are reading:

CPU 1 = 97F
CPU 2 = 105F
System = 101F

Can I go any higher FSB and are my temps. ok?

Also, if I try for 100FSB it only shows one processor.

boogie those are good temps for celerons

mine ususally run around 44C (yours are at 36C and 41C) under 100% load

my system temp after installing a fan on the greenie usually goes to around 40-42 C instead of 48-50C

Yes, these temps are with a load. I'll probably replace the coolers because they are 3 or 4 years old and I don't want to worry about temp.

I appear to have other concerns.....(Capacitors!!!)

Hiya boogibson, have a good poke around this messageboard.

Chances are that what is troubling you, it's been seen here before.

So I have noticed. I have two BP6 boards, both with cap problems. Cool thing is Abit has repaired one and it is on the way back to me. I plan to send the other one back and the sell it after it has been repaired.

Oh, when I asked Abit to repair the board they told me they don't do that anymore. Then the next day I get an email saying send the BP6 board to them and Abit will repair it, this time, for $0.

I guess someone made a mistake. I plan to send the other board ASAP.

There are *almost* no bad BP6s. There are mostly bad caps.
