celeron 1.8: suitable for dual cpu?

celeron 1.8: suitable for dual cpu?

hello everyone,
i have a hankering to build my own system, and being chock-full of hubris i've set my heart on dual cpu.
i have a celeron 1.8 lying around, and was wondering if i could use this at all.
any ideas?

Celeron 2s have SMP (dual processing) disabled.

You won't be able to dual with the newer Celerons. You can run one if you use one of the 370 socket adapters that have been talked about on this forum.

thanks for the quick response.
isn't the point that all celerons have smp disabled?
either by wiring and drilling or by mobo some people seem to get them to work smp nevertheless.
will this not work at all with c2?

Only the C2s are locked. The modifications are for single C2 or P3, or for Dual P3.

Original Celeron's would dual. Intel "fixed" the CII's not to SMP.
