What is the absouloute highest voltage i can run a celeron 466 at?
What is the minimum FSB speed (on the bp6) at which the 1/3 divider is used insted of 1/2?

2.3 volts

If you are going to increase the voltage over 2.0 volts, make sure you have adequate cooling for your Celeron(s).

I'll have to look at one of my BP6's tonight, for the 1/3 vs. 1/2 thing.

92MHz.

There is also a program called "Rise Of Abit BP6" that allows VCore to go above 2.3V

Go very carefully with this one - high voltages will put out a lot of heat.

Success!! well partially, for the first time i have overclocked to 560x2
7x80 and the best part!? my scsi card is fine! Supposed to be very finnicky. it would always be unstable when booting so i downloaded that progam that lets you OC from windows, works like a charm, and if i have a stability problem and if it restarts it will restart at 466. My voltage is 2.2 volts and my temperatures are CASE: 37 P1: 47 P2: 42
All temperatures in celsius. It seems pretty stable... Are these temperatures fine? i think 50 is where i begin to get worried. Any thoughts on this?

edit: added below

This is my maximum stable speed im not going to go to 575 or raise voltage to 2.3

I had hell enough trying to get to 560.

what are the cpu's stock speeds?

depending on the chip depends on how you can Oc it

lower stock speed = higher FSB Lower MHZ speed
higher stock speed = higher MHZ speed lower FSB

honestly.... the FSB is the heart of any system

BTW, STEPPING is a term that comes to mind

you don't try to go for the highest possible OC speed in one day

it's taken me almost a year to get mine to run half arse stable at 600 (500mhz celerons) they used to only run real good at 566 now they run at 585

steppuing takes time.. time is a virtue when overclocking

run your celerons at 560 for a month or 2

THEN try hitting 575

My little guys are 466's. so with just 2.2v you think i can pull 580 from them??? i got them ok at 560, pretty good at 545, and rock stable (under any circumstance) at 525mhz

CRITICAL BREAKING NEWS TYPE THING!!!!

My board is a .41 board.... what do i do!?!? what cant i do with this board. I feel so violated. Where do i stand now? can i still pull all these incredible speeds i hear about? Can i fix this board? argh! can i just paint over the .41 and pretend it wasnt there?

Iv heard many a bad thing about this board.

Let them run at 560MHz under full load for about a week, and then try 580MHz.

I think you will need to keep the CPUs cooler to do any better, but it's worth a shot.

argh 560 is giving me many problems tonight, i think ill do 546 for a week or 2 Then try 560 for yet another couple weeks, before trying to reach that all mighty 580. I have raised the voltage to 2.3 and found that 546 is rock stable like when i have 525 at 2.1 volts. My new temperatures right now are as follows:

Case: 30C
P1: 37.5
P2: 38

I use another fan to pull cold air into my room (aside from the goliath thats blowing air into the case) so that the air being used to cool the computer is really really cold. my room is very cold at this momment... very very cold. Winter may bring me a watercooling alternative, :D

For benchmarking i use a unique test, the Sonique test!
I run the visualization Rabbit Hole and play back my songs, and check the fps.

Most abit boards can do a neat trick. If you flash the bios when your voltage is set to 2.3v that becomes the "default voltage"

I do not know if the most recent bios still allows this but people were able to run over 3v on chips using this trick several times.

hey cool, so if i flash at 2.3 then the range is 2.0-2.6? tempting, but i wont try that till winter

i bet this winter i can pull 15c on all readings! (ambient room 0c)

This just in!!

Uni prossesor staying STABLE for the first time at 588 2.3v
595 now!! im extremley pleased with the performance of uni prossesor!!
601!!! i DID IT!!! i broke the 600mhz barrier!!! This i believe will be a permanent setup. I will keep going higher.
I will edit my post as the MHZ goes higher!!!

After a few minutes gazing around my computer in awe, i distourbingly remembered why i chose a dual setup in the first place... i loved to multi task and aside from that, windows eats up my speed increase like that *snaps fingers* when i had two prossesors my programs just used what windows wasnt using. urgh damnit smp WORK!!! well ill fiddle with this tonight see if i cant get 92fsb
