The faq on vp6-board.com agrees with nailz:

Q: Whats the fastest cpu that will run on the VP6?
A: The fastest PIII that will run on the VP6 is the 1.1Ghz (100fsb) FCPGA (non-Tualutian) cpu or the 1.0Ghz (133 fsb) cpu.

What happened to VP6-Board.Com anyways? It doesn't look like it's being maintained.

....for me. The VP6 has been a great system for over 3 years. Not once over those years did the actual mb give me any troubles. I have had numerous driver issues, but those all got worked out in the end. I used my VP6 as my main machine for a better part of 2 years. I will miss it, but it is time to move on. I shut "her" down about 3 months ago but left it completely intact just in case I needed to get something off of the Raid. This weekend I officially shut it down when I removed the 2 15G IBM hdd and placed them in my sons new MSI KT4VL/2400XP based system. I have not been around the boards much due to work and spending time at SFFTech which is dedicated to my new SFF system. You all can catch me over there as MTP as well. Take care everyone, this site has been fantastic. I have "met" allot of great people here, learned tons of stuff, and hopefully helped a few out as well. I'll pop into the forums once in awhile.
Do not bother e-mailing to MTP@vp6 address as I have not been able to get into that one for months now.

That's a good idea!

I'll throw them an email and see what they want to do. Since it's not updated anymore I don't think it will be a problem.

That's the same question i've had for months...
Dual tualatins 1.4 and VP6 with lin/lin ...
The cpu's and lins would cost me $160 Canadian waste of money ?
Tanx for the input from everyone so far I'm happy running my BP6 with a tualatin /neo and lin, but being able to use my Vp6 with tuallies would be interesting ...Any ideas if it will work?
Has anybody got a post as to which Intel cpu's will actually smp?

Well, I have no VP6 board to test.
I did test an ACORP 6A815EPD board of similar vintage - Intel 815 chipset.
It worked fine with the Lin-Lin adapters & dual P-III/1.266/512/133 CPUs.
I was only able to underclock them at 100MHz FSB since I did not know how to properly set Lin-Lin jumpers #8 &#9 at that time.

I'm working on it right now with - Dual P-III/1100E@105Mhz, 512MB PC150 RAM, 2+0 striped RAID array of Maxtor ATA 80GB/7200/8MB ($55 ea), Geforce2 MX400 64MB video, Adaptec USB 2.0 Connect 3100, SB Live 5.1, Logitech cordless elite USB KB-mouse, SMC 2662W USB WLAN 802.11b adapter (sucks-bad S/W drivers), LG 16x10x CDRW, generic 6x DVD-ROM, LS-120 Superdisk, Maxtor 7GB/5400/2MB IDE

What is the Chipset of the VP6?
