Where to get caps ?

Post by iSDn »

First of all i wanna thank you guys who helped me so much! I posted a few weeks ago that my BP6 isn't able to run my P3 1100Mhz anymore its only stable when i use it with 66Mhz FSB. A few days ago one cap exploded. Now my question is there any online shop. where i can get all the caps for a cheap price in germany they cost about 60$.

Some posters have purchased the assorted capacitor pak that RadioShack sells. They have found a 2200uF, 16 volt electrolytic capacitor in the pak and used it for EC10.

i have access to some of the rares caps

i personally have 2 1farad caps and 8 .22farad caps :)

nice for playing with things

also i can get anywhere from 1MFD to 10K MFD 50v caps

to 2400MFD 10v caps

i've thought about using a 2K MFD 10v cap for EC10

hmm

i wonder what a 6800MFD 16V cap would do in ec10?

The feedback I have seen from other posters who have replaced all capacitors; they say the stability is excellent. Problems solved after replacement.

Just a question about the capacitor quality: Here in Germany it´s easy to get caps with that voltage and capacity, but they usually have 20% tolerance and do not seem to be low-ESR types. What qualities to the caps have to have?

Hi!

I think i need your help again.....

I figured out that when i test my ram at 66mhz FSB i get no errors, but when i switch to 100mhz fsb i get ALOT of errors...i think that's why my system always crashs at 100mhz fsb...(damn why did i kill my first bp6 board???) Could this still be a cap problem or is my board broken ???

Bye.
