The error you’ve posted is a different problem all together; we’ll work on that later :) Is the keyboard wireless? And you’ve concluded there is no power to the keyboard because when you press F1 or DEL nothing happens, right? Does the keyboard plug into USB ports, or is it standard PS2? (And I don’t mean PlayStation 2)

1) replace the motherboard battery to retain CMOS settings.
2) Use a USB keyboard if the PS/2 (round plug) style don't work.

Swap KBs with a working PC & see whether the problem travels.
If it's the M-board then just switch to USB style.

I have a client with new Logitec KB & mouse that can be PS/2 or USB.

She set them both initially as PS/2. With dual boot win98/win2K, I tried to switch them to USB. Nightmare now - I can't get either mode to work at both DOS & windows level. So, with a 2ND PS/2 KB plugged in, PS/2 selects the O/S on boot & Logi-USB takes over after the Win drivers load. PS/2 dies at the Win level & USB remains dead at DOS level with Dell Optiplex GX1. Removing H/W & uninstall of Logitech S/W (pure crap) does not let PS/2 mouse detect correctly in either Windows version. I'm stuck with TWO KBs now 'till I solve this one!
