the limit is 32Mx64 density RAM without ECC or 32Mx72 with ECC 256MB module and it has to be DOUBLESIDED! with 16 mem-chips in total - 8 hcips on each side - otherwise if you put 512MB doublesided module, at the best it will be recognized as 256MB

BP6 recognizes ONLY 128MB per one bank
Dual C366@550MHz 1.90V :) (History)
yet single PIII-S 512Kb L2 cache at 1400MHz@700MHz
BP6 (not modded yet)
256MB PC133 C2
GF4Ti4200-8x
Maxtor 2x60Gb - all on promise ATA133
Lite-On LTR 40125S@48125W!!!
Plus P4 system

the point is if you use the memory module with ships with higher density than 32Mx64 or more than 128MB per bank - the memory will not be recognized correctly :) that's also from my experience when I followed the manual as from the above post. It is not written anywhere that is supports only 128Mb per bank... :(

I wonder, if the chips were stacked like a 1gig ram stick, would it work? Hmmmmmmmm :D I'll get some pictures.

That WOULD be really nice, Derek! :D But we are quite unlucky with our banks on BP6... :(
