CD Boot problems

Does the board recognize the CDROM and the floppy?
Did you try to boot from them without a harddisk attached?
What BIOS version do you use?
BP6, RU BIOS, XP SP3, ACPI, 2x366@523(1,95V), Pentalpha HS + 1x 12cm fan @5V, 768MB, Powercolor Geforce 3, RTL8139D NIC, Terratec EWS64L, Samsung M40 80GB (2,5''), LiteOn CDRW

The drive cannot be set to "none" in the BIOS on the BP6 if you want to be able to boot from it. Set it to "auto", and see if that works for you.
Dual Barton Mobile 1.8ghz

For my two cents worth...
If your old drive was on one of the white IDE connecters you will have to use one of the black ones for the new install.

The white ones are the HTP366 ports. They don't work to well for installing an OS.
There are *almost* no bad BP6s. There are mostly bad caps.

No BP6s remaining

ViaCPU laptop with Vista.(Works great after bumping ram to 2Gig)
