I have tried several & then dumped them all in favor of the Adaptec brand.
It works & the bundled S/W is extremely useful - it scans all USB devices to present a graphic tree layout of what's connected. Clicking an item will give detaols about device. With Win-Xp make sure to get the latest USB driver update from the Mixrosoft windows update site.
