Severe memory problems... HELP!

Hi electrix, welcome to BP6.com.

First of all, did you ground yourself while cleaning the board. You might of zapped your board or your memory
Secondly, test your memory on another pc or borrow some good memory to test on your board.
Thirdly, check the board for bulging or leaking capacitors, the small cylindrical parts that are dotted all over the board.

The capacators appear to be normal, but there's two or three with some brown matter (rust? -- maybe from salty air -- I live in Honolulu) on them; they are near the top where the keyboard and mouse plugs are.

Im affraid thats not rust, its electrolyte! Your Caps are leaking. Check this thread and this artical artical for more info. It can be fixed if your happy about using a soldering iron on your beloved BP6!
